Ghosts of Rauma & Aaveiden Rauma

Ghosts of Rauma & Aaveiden Rauma

Hello!

I am happy to announce that Saana and I have now finished writing these books and they have now gone to print!

Enormous thanks go to our Publisher Haamu and our illustrator Suvi Kari, without whom the books would not have been seen the light of day.

It has taken 9 months of work and many painstaking research and writing sessions, and they will launch on October 1st at the Turku Book Fair in Finland. There will also be a number of special events during October, held at a variety of locations in Rauma - to be announced soon.

I should also mention that the book itself is a high quality hard cover with glossy pages and incredible artwork - it is actually a souvenir of Rauma in its own right! If you are in already, or ever visit our city, it is the perfect travel guide.

The books started off as an idea and evolved into two books. Each contains the same facts, and each individual writer's style - one in English by me and one in Finnish by Saana. It has already been grabbed by major online book retailers and many book stores. It is also available from myself (English book) or Saana (Finnish book) directly.

As of September 2021, you can buy signed copies of 'Ghosts of Rauma,' together with any of my other books, via my new Rauma Stories web-shop here

Alternatively, you can also purchase my Jussi Alonen series and various short stories from your local Amazon site, for example here.

Here is the summary of Ghosts of Rauma:

You may have heard of the city of Rauma, well-known for its lace, maritime history and UNESCO-listed old town. Situated on the picturesque southwest coast of Finland, its medieval quarter contains colourful wooden buildings and cobblestone streets. It’s an idyllic place.

Less known are the mysterious secrets hidden within its walls.

Since becoming a city in 1442, many dramatic events have occurred in Rauma. These have included: devastating fires, deadly diseases and violent murders. No wonder some of its former residents haven't yet found peace.

In Rauma, you will find haunted houses, bone-chilling boutiques and macabre museums. Its resident spirits can also appear at any time of the day or night, so eyes and ears should be kept open. Who knows what might be around the next corner?

Welcome to Rauma – a city of lace and ghosts!

The video trailer for the book is here.

Do you dare to read it?
